Morbius Official Teaser Trailer

A new tragic antihero rises as Sony / Columbus Pictures (in association with Marvel) releases the official teaser trailer for the upcoming superhero film Morbius. View trailer below.

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.

Hmmmm…..interesting. While I never read any of the comics about Morbius, my really introduction to the character was during the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, with the character of Michael Morbius turning into the vampiric being and always saying “I hungry for plasma”. Still, the character was pretty interesting in the show and I always wondered if and when he would appear in this cinematic age of superhero endeavors. Now, that we get the chance to see Michael appear in a live-action project with the release of Morbius, with the first trailer showcasing plenty of exciting footage. Just like Venom, Morbius seems to bad guy-ish caught in tragedy and becoming an anti-hero. The cast looks good and Leto seems like the perfect choice for Michael Morbius. Plus, that ending scene! All in all, I’m curious to see how viewers and critics will receive this movie as I’m interested in seeing the movie.

Morbius  arrives in theaters on July 31st, 2020

  • Interesting thoughts on the trailer. I’m glad this has made you want to see the film. I thought the trailer played like a boring mashup of the science gone wrong genre along with the most passionless vampire movie you’ve ever seen.

    • Haha….who knows…you might be right about this. I know a lot of people liked Venom, but I thought it was pretty “meh”. This movie seems to very much the same, with Sony trying to set up features with their villains for Spider-Man to battle against. Only time will tell if this movie will be good or not.

  • Same here. Everything i know about him is from the 90s cartoon. I’m more interested in what seems to be connections to the MCU, especially after that drama over Spiderman that happened this summer

    • There is almost no chance, I think, if any character from Sony property (excluding Peter Parker and his friends) will make their way to the MCU, remembering the dispute between the two companies. But yeah we’ll see.

  • Definitely looks interesting!
