Joker Final Trailer

The infamous “Clown Prince of Gotham” takes center stage as Warner Bros. Pictures releases the final trailer for their upcoming DC villain origin story titled Joker. View trailer below.

Director Todd Phillips “Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen.  Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society.  A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him.  Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.

I was wondering when this new trailer was gonna be released. It definitely looks quite interesting. Much like what I said before for the previous trailer, the character of the Joker is definitely an iconic figure in both DC comics and in the Batman lore. So, it’s interesting that the studio is gonna devote an entire movie on his origin story, while updating the material for the modern day. Some people are saying that the movie is trying to get an Oscar nod at this upcoming award season. While that’s still up for debate, this movie looks quite interesting and I’m curious to see how it all plays out. Plus, Phoenix is kind of perfect for the role….

Joker  released in theaters on October 4th, 2019

  • Now this is a hard one for me, I HATE clowns – it’s a phobia. So to have to sit through a Joker movie I think will not happen. Intriguing reinvention of the old foe……..where is the Batman I wonder???
