As I’ve stated many times before, I’m not so much of a fan of horror movies as they are not usual “cup of tea” when it comes to movie genres. This is further exemplified when considering the plethora of horror movies out there that are (to be frank) not good. Robert Eggers work, however, is one of the rare exceptions to the many as I love his films, with Nosferatu being my personal favorite. After seeing that film and hearing what he was cooking up for his next project, I was quite excited to see this preview. The trailer for Werwulf looks quite promising, showcasing Egger’s tones of muted colors and cinematography for that gothic horror-esque feeling that works so beautifully on-screen. I can’t wait to see what this movie has to offer thee classic and iconic movie monster character.
Werwulf opens in theaters on December 25th (Christmas Day), 2026
