Rocketman Official Trailer

The man, the legend, and the musical icon that is Elton John as Paramount Pictures releases the official trailer for their upcoming bio-pic drama Rocketman. View trailer below.
The film tells the story of Elton John’s life, from his years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music, through his influential and enduring musical partnership with Bernie Taupin, as well as his struggles with depression, substance abuse, and acceptance of his sexual orientation.
One thing is clear….Elton John’s music (throughout several decades) has definitely left its mark on the music industry. Thus, it really comes at no surprise that Hollywood would eventually come around to do a cinematic iteration of his life; shedding light on his career to stardom and his personal struggles. Given the fact that director Dexter Fletcher (who replaced director Bryan Singer and completed Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman definitely has that same vibe of that very same movie (which I loved btw). Plus, I do like how actor Taron Egerton is playing Elton John, especially since Egerton can actually sing. All in all, I’m pretty interested to see this movie.
Rocketman arrives in theaters on May 31st, 2019
I’m officially excited!
I’m really looking forward to this. Love Sir Elton’s music and Taron Egerton has proven he has the chops to pull this off, at least the vocals (see Sing).
It’s only a teaser trailer, though, so we’ll have to see
Definitely. It shaping up to be a great movie of Elton’s life and times….as well as his music.
I still haven’t had a chance to see the movie about Freddie Mercury but this looks like another I would enjoy. I’ve never got into following or worrying about the personal lives of celebrities, I either like the product they produce or I don’t, but it would be interesting to see the history of someone that has produced so much music I enjoyed.
