Several decades after the events of Gladiator (2000), Lucius—the grandson of Rome’s former emperor Marcus Aurelius and son of Lucilla—lives with his wife and child in Numidia. Roman soldiers led by general Marcus Acacius invade, forcing Lucius into slavery. Inspired by the story of Maximus, as depicted in the original 2000 film, Lucius resolves to fight as a gladiator while opposing the rule of the young emperors Caracalla and Geta.
Was wondering when a new trailer for this movie was going to be coming out. The new preview is quite packed with a lot of new footage, which includes a lot of visual action scenes as well as more story details for the overall plot. My only biggest complaint is that the movie (what was shown in the preview) is that the narrative borrows heavily on the first film, with several characters having the same type of personalities and machinations, which might be the quite the hurdle for the feature to tackle. Hopefully, that’s not the case and that the movie will blow me away. Regardless of what the final result is….I’m quite excited to see what Gladiator II has to offer and how will moviegoers receive the feature.

That’s cool Lucious is the new protagonist. He was enamored with Maximus in the original. Interested to see how his misfortune comes about and who the new baddies are🛡
I know. It’s cool that they decided to make him the main protagonist character in the movie. I am curious to see how the story plays out and how it will be compared to the original film.
