Avatar: The Way of Water Official Final Trailer

It’s time to return to Pandora as 20th Century Fox (and Disney) released the official final trailer for the highly anticipated sequel blockbuster Avatar: The Way of Water. View trailer below.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

Oh wow…. I wasn’t expecting a new trailer for this, especially since the movie itself is literally less than a month away from its debut. Yet, I do welcome the new preview. This new trailer showcases plenty of new footage from the upcoming film and looks quite amazing that this long-awaited sequel will have to offer. I do like how the trailer still doesn’t ruin much of the film’s narrative / plot, with a lot of being shown just a lot of dramatic shots, which will leave the surprises for when a viewer actually watching the movie. All in all, I’m super stoked to see what The Way of Water has to offer and how it will delve back into the fantastical and cinematic world of Pandora….and the people therein.

Avatar: The Way of Water  arrives in theaters on December 16th, 2022

  • I was a huge fan of the first avatar that was released in 2009. The way 20th century fox held out for almost 14 years allowed for desperation to kick in. Those who are hardcore fans have clearly been waiting years to see what els this interesting film has in store. Not only did 20th century fox wait 13 years to produce a second movie, they left the viewers and fans with a huge cliff hanger at the end of the first film, allowing for anticipation for a second film to begin immediately after viewing the first film. I always found it interesting how much a trailer can throw off a viewer from the real film. But this trailer for the new Avatar was pretty remarkable. I enjoyed how the film was introduced with peaceful background music, showing clips of the landscape in which they live in. Its really interesting to see how humans have adapted to live in this new world by wearing futuristic oxygen masks to survive and live with the avatar kind. In a way I see this film as push for hope for mankind to expand our horizons and find new planets to live on and lifeforms to live with. In light of the recent space exploration and advanced space engineering that’s been taking place, this film should excite those who haven’t had the pleasure of watching the first film.
