The Many Saints of Newark Official Trailer

Legends aren’t born. They’re Made as Warner Bros. releases the official trailer for the upcoming prequel to The Sopranos TV series titled The Many Saints of Newark. View trailer below.
Young Anthony Soprano is growing up in one of the most tumultuous eras in Newark’s history, becoming a man just as rival gangsters begin to rise up and challenge the all-powerful DiMeo crime family’s hold over the increasingly race-torn city. Caught up in the changing times is the uncle he idolizes, Dickie Moltisanti, who struggles to manage both his professional and personal responsibilities—and whose influence over his nephew will help make the impressionable teenager into the all-powerful mob boss we’ll later come to know: Tony Soprano.
Wow….I’m excited for this! I’m a big fan of HBO’s The Sopranos as I’ve watched when it originally first aired and continue to watch every now and again as a “binge” watching TV series to watch. I remember hearing all the rumors (for quite some time) of doing a Sopranos movie, but nothing really materialized. Now…finally….a movie has come forth and is in the form of a prequel, which I love. I like the idea of a going back and showing the “old guard” characters take center stage and showing a younger version of Tony Soprano as there is plenty to showcase in how he turns out in comparison to the adult version. Plus, i really like how late actor James Gandolfini’s son Michael is playing the younger version of Tony. The trailer itself looks great and feel very much like the original show. All in all, I’m super excited to see this movie….can’t wait to review it!
The Many Saints of Newark arrives in theaters (and HBO Max) on October 1st, 2021
