Downton Abbey Official Teaser Trailer

It’s time to return to the gilded lifestyle of the Crawley family as Focus Features releases the official teaser trailer for the upcoming movie Downton Abbey. View trailer below.

While there is no official synopsis release for the film, the movie is a continuation of the critically acclaimed TV show Downton Abbey. The television series followed the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who worked for them at the turn of the 20th century in an Edwardian English country house.  Over its 6 seasons, the series garnered 3 Golden Globe Awards, 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, 69 Emmy nominations in total, making Downton Abbey the most nominated non-US television show in the history of the Emmys – even earning a Special BAFTA award and a Guinness World Record for the highest critically rated TV show along the way.

What can I say…I’m a sucker for costume drama pieces, especially ones that are setting during this time period. Yes, I am fan of the TV show Downton Abbey and love it. I love the setting, the characters, and the story. I just love it. It was definitely one of the better shows that have come out from PBS’s masterpiece collection (I live in the US, so I watched it on PBS when it debuted). Since the show did wrap up and offered a conclusion, I was surprised that the announcement was made for a Downton Abbey movie. Of course, I’m not complain, so I’m pretty excited. This teaser trailer doesn’t show much and simply “teases” us to return to the story of Crawley family once again. Like a lot of fans of the show, I’m definitely accepting this invitation for next year.

Downton Abbey  arrives in theaters on September 20th, 2019
