X-Men: Dark Phoenix Official Trailer

The X-Men faces their greatest enemy (one of their own) as 20th Century Fox releases the first official trailer for their upcoming film X-Men: Dark Phoenix. View trailer below.
The X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity insider her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
Personally, I love the Dark Phoenix saga from the comics. Perhaps first introduction to the story was in the original animated X-Men cartoon series, which did showcase that storyline arc for Jean. Of course, the film X-Men: The Last Stand also introduced Jean Grey as the Phoenix, but it did change certain things and kind of felt a bit rushed (especially when the story was paired with “the cure” narrative arc). Unfortunately, this first trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix (or also known as Dark Phoenix) was kind of “meh” to me. It really didn’t capture my interest and was kind of boring. To me, it kind of reminded me of the first trailer for Venom (not a whole lot of the action / visual scenes. Just a lot of talking). Of course, I am curious to see how this movie will handle the Dark Phoenix storyline, but this trailer does not give me much reassurance or excitement.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix opens up in theaters on February 14th, 2019
I had the same response to this trailer as you did. It did seem kind of meh to me as well. I hope the movie itself will be good, so far these films haven’t disappointed me yet 😊
Yeah, I mean….I’ll definitely see it when it comes out, but the trailer really didn’t do anything for me, which is disappointing. Hopefully the next trailer will be better.
I enjoyed the trailer. After waiting so long to see it, I was not disappointed
Well, at least you enjoyed it. To me, I was just expecting something more.

As a massive X-Men fan, this trailer had me excited, but will it live up to the hype? Quite a few X-Men movies have been a let down! Only time will tell!
Did this one just get pushed back again?
Yes, it just did….today. So now its’ gonna be released during the summer of 2019. Ugh!!!!
Nuts to that!
Definitely!
Haha….I know right
