Rampage Official Trailer #1

Get ready for a “monster” battle rampage as Warner Bros. Pictures releases the first official trailer for their upcoming film Rampage. View trailer below.

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Hmmm…..I don’t know about this movie. Yes, I do remember the video game (Rampage) and even remember playing it, but to make it into a whole feature length film…..I don’t know if that’s a good idea. Of course, I don’t expect the movie to be a Oscar-contender as it’s most for a mindless spectacle presentation of giant monsters rampaging through cities. However, the story I feel is going to be a bit on “meh” and possibly the movie itself. All in all, Rampage, while toting a good cast and some creative effects, might be a mediocre endeavor. That being said, I could be wrong and the movie could be some good old-fashioned cinematic giant monster fun! Let’s hope that its the latter one.

Rampage  opens in theaters on April 20th, 2018
