Fantastic Four Theatrical Trailer

A new fantastic team assembles as 20th Century Fox has released the full theatrical trailer for the superhero reboot of Fantastic Four. View trailer below.

An origin story said to be inspired largely by the “Ultimate Fantastic Four” comics (the first arc of which was written by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Millar with Joe Kubert illustrating), Fantastic Four offers a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team. The story centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save the Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

After viewing the trailer, I am slightly more interested in seeing this movie, but I still do hold my reservations on this particular reboot. The younger cast is good, and the visuals are improvement, and the story seems better. However, I still like the original movies (Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer) and accept for what they are (flaws and all). I just personally don’t think we need a reboot of for this franchise. Can this reboot film change my mind? It is possible.

Dr. Doom played by Toby Kebbell

Fantastic Four hits theaters this summer on August 7th, 2015.
