The Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy
While the teaser trailer looks cool and I’m slightly intrigue to see the movie when it comes out, I do have my doubts for this reboot. Foremost, why did the film franchise need to be rebooted? The first original two films (Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer) were good for what they were. Sure they weren’t the best compare to recent superhero flicks of late, but it gave the foundation for those movies to build and stand upon. Although, who knows…with a younger cast and improved visual effects, maybe a reboot is what is needed. We’ll just have to wait and see.
