He’s only a stuntman, but he’s ready to steal the show as Universal Pictures releases the second official trailer for the upcoming action-comedy film The Fall Guy. View trailer below.

Colt Seavers, a battered and past-his-prime action choreographer, finds himself working on a film set with Tom Ryder, a famous actor for whom he had doubled long ago. When Tom goes missing and the film, which is being directed by Jody Moreno, Colt’s ex-girlfriend in her directing debut, is in danger of being shut down, Colt volunteers to find Tom and save Jody’s debut film. 

I totally forgot to post the first trailer for this movie, so i decided to make sure I did post the second official trailer on my blog. Based on the footage shown on both trailers, this movie does look quite promising. I was forgot the announcement that it was made when the movie, which was originally scheduled to come out on March 12th, was pushed back to the start of May 2024. This is probably why a second trailer was released. I do like Blunt and Gosling and, given their recent popularity with the releases of Barbieheimer in 2023, it seems like a likeable pair to co-star / co-lead in a movie together. The plot may be a bit commonplace (thinking of Hail, Caesar!), but it looks like the movie will have plenty of action and comedy angst to rise above such narrative tropes. All in all, I’m interested to see what this movie has to offer and hopefully it’s the solid movie to kickstart the summer movies season of 2024.
