Wonka Official Trailer

Discover how Willy became Wonka as Warner Bros. Studios releases the official trailer for the upcoming musical fantasy film Wonka. View trailer below.
From Paul King, writer/director of the “Paddington” films, David Heyman, producer of “Harry Potter,” “Gravity,” “Fantastic Beasts” and “Paddington,” and producers Alexandra Derbyshire (the “Paddington” films, “Jurassic World: Dominion”) and Luke Kelly (“Roald Dahl’s The Witches”), comes an intoxicating mix of magic and music, mayhem and emotion, all told with fabulous heart and humor. Starring Timothée Chalamet in the title role, this irresistibly vivid and inventive big screen spectacle will introduce audiences to a young Willy Wonka, chock-full of ideas and determined to change the world one delectable bite at a time—proving that the best things in life begin with a dream, and if you’re lucky enough to meet Willy Wonka, anything is possible.
I’ve been wondering when this trailer would appear online. Like many out there, I remember reading Roald Dahl’s books, especially Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as seeing the iconic Gene Wilder film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I was always curious to see a somewhat prequel story that focused on the humble beginings for Willy, with this latest project doing just that. From the trailer alone, the footage shown shows plenty of charm and whimsical nature that is customary for the imaginative chocolate maker. Plus, I do like actor Timothée Chalamet and certainly does fit the role of playing a younger Willy Wonka. In the end, I’m very much excited to see what Wonka has to offer from the mythos of Dahl’s beloved tale of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory narrative.
Wonka arrives in theaters on December 15th, 2023
Are you excited for this one Jason?? I am so so. I feel like Gene Wilder was so wonderful..then Johnny did SO well..I’m not sure how good Chalemet is going to be..
Oh, most definitely. It looks pretty interesting and whimsical, which is sort of a good thing. Plus, it’s being directed by the person behind the Paddington movies.
I think they’d have done better to give us Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Oh well….
Haha….true enough. However, I definitely see the potential for a prequel narrative on Willy Wonka. Plus, the movie is being directed by Paul King, who did the Paddington movies, and you know how popular and well-liked those films are. So, there is a good chance that this movie will follow suit.
Paddington 2 wasn’t loved by everybody. I know the guy who didn’t 😀
Haha…fair enough. But….at the very least….the potential is there. So, I’m very optimistic about it.
I wasn’t interested in it before, but after seeing the trailer, I’m looking forward to it! Looks like a whimsical movie in the style of Paddington.
That’s great. Definitely looks quite interesting.
