Pokémon: Detective Pikachu Official Trailer #2

Get ready for a “Poke” hero as Warner Bros. Pictures releases the second official trailer for their upcoming live-action film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. View trailer below.

The story begins when ace private eye Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a hilariously wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth who is a puzzlement even to himself. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces on a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery. Chasing clues together through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City—a sprawling, modern metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic live-action world—they encounter a diverse cast of Pokémon characters and uncover a shocking plot that could destroy this peaceful co-existence and threaten the whole Pokémon universe.

OMG…Mewtwo!!! Super stoked just to see that particular scene. This new trailer for the movie definitely sheds a bit more light on the film’s narrative plot as well as showcasing plenty of new footage. I’m still a bit leery about this movie, especially since I’m still taken a little aback about Reynolds doing the voice for Pikachu. However, all the new footage in this trailer showcases plenty of new Pokémon that are gonna be featured in the movie, which is pretty exciting to see them rendered in such a way. I’m definitely more intrigued to see this movie and looking forward to seeing it this summer.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu  arrives in theaters on May 10th, 2019
