Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (Gael García Bernal) and together they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
Hmmm….very interesting. Pixar always does “quality” work on their animated features, so I’m expecting to see some great animation as well as some solid voice acting. Plus, their signature touch of drama and emotions. While I do applaud Pixar for doing something different (not another sequel movie), I do have some reservations about this movie, most notably that this films vaguely familiar to another animated feature….2014’s The Book of Life. Judging by the trailer it looks like Coco is going to be involving Día de Muertos (the Day of the dead) and about a youth’s passion to become a “Guitarrista”. Does that sound familiar to The Book of Life. So I don’t know. I’m intrigued by this movie, but it seems like Coco might be trying to copy The Book of Life.
Coco is set to be released in theaters on November 22nd, 2017
The Book of Life is a romance about 2 men fighting over a woman and one dies and has to go to after life. Entirely different than Coco. Look at it as how many Christmas movies do we get and yet they arent the same?
Of course and I agree with you on that. I’m just saying it feels vaguely familiar….its like how the animated movie Epic felt somewhat familiar to Ferngully.
