It’s not over until lightning strike as Disney and Pixar release the new teaser trailer for the upcoming animated movie Cars 3. View trailer below.
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
I was expecting to see another trailer for this movie so soon, but here it is. This new teaser trailer is basically an extended version of the last one (using most of the footage from the last one), but also adds new footage during the second half of the trailer. It will be interesting to see where the third (and assuming final) Cars installment goes and ultimately ends up, but the Cars franchise hasn’t been my particular favorite Pixar movies. From what I can gather, it looks like its going to be mainly about racing again (Lightning facing an hotshot racer) and not a spy side story like in Cars 2. Let’s hope that it finishes strong and doesn’t get flat out tire.
