The Fate of the Furious Trailer
Get ready to buckle up for another daring adventure as Universal Pictures releases the first trailer for the eight installment of the Fast & the Furious franchise titled The Fate of the Furious. View trailer below.
Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before. From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.
Wow. Pretty impressive! Every since the fifth movie came out (Fast 5), these movies have been building upon and gaining massive success. After the last movie (Furious 7), it was a difficult decision to make on whether they would or would not continue the franchise (due to Paul Walker’s death). However, they decided to press forward with eight chapter in the Fast and the Furious series. This new trailer looks great. Its great to see all the characters / actors back together and the twist in it is great (though I kind of expect where it’s going to end up). As for the rest of the trailer, it looks like great, with plenty of action thrills and over-the-top cinematic stunts. I wouldn’t have it any other way. All in all, it looks awesome as The Fate of the Furious is no going to a “must see” movie on everyone’s anticipated movie list of 2017. Plus, I can’t wait to see Helen Mirren in this movie.
The Fate of the Furious rides into theaters on April 14th, 2017
As ridiculous as it looks, sign me up! I know everyone is giving it crap, but it looks to hold true to the franchise. A high adrenaline movie with lists of action and no time for the plot to actually make sense.
Exactly. I mean this is the eighth installment in the franchise. If you’re not onboard on how the franchise acts, you shouldn’t be watching this series. Yes, it over-the-top action, but its still immense fun and entertaining.
Sometimes that’s exactly what is needed – over-the-top action which is fun. We do, after all, need a good session of pure escapism from time to time. And in all honesty, they haven’t all been that bad.
They better not pull some ‘Dom is brainwashed’ BS
Haha…I don’t they’ll put that card. I think they’ll say that he had to go deep undercover to get close to Theron’s character (even if he had to hurt the other characters).
These movies just keep getting weirder and weirder; the fact that there’s been eight of them is baffling. Glad they’re at least throwing in some kind of twist this time around. As much as I love to rag on this series, it’s good for just a dumb night out at the movies.
What a plot twist! A little similar to Transformers: The Last Knight don’t you think?
Yeah, kind of. Although, you probably guess what Diesel’s Torretto is doing by becoming bad. Optimus, however, I can’t figure out yet in The Last Knight.
We will have to wait and see!
Really? Dom is rogue again?!?
Yeah, it appears that way
