Hmmm….I don’t know what to think of this trailer. While there’s plenty of explosive action and thrills throughout, I have a feeling like its going to be a bland sequel adventure, with action stunts trumping over story elements. I mean I know the XXX movies were never known for their strong narratives, but the franchise seems to be going more “over the top” with this latest installment. As I said before, I do like Vin Diesel as an actor, but I would rather see him see him as Dominic Toretto in another Fast and Furious movie. To me, he’ll always be more memorable as Torretto more so than Xander Cage. Will this be successful in theaters… probably not as its being released in January (usually a dead month). Personally, I don’t expect a whole lot from this beyond nifty stunt and the standard action nuances for the genre.

I gotta say I thought the trailer is laughably bad. I do get that their is supposed to be a level of silliness to it. But like you said, Vin is no Toretto here. He just looks and sounds goofy.
Haha…definitively agree with you. Its probably going to become like how the like how Expendables 2 was like (a lot of action, mediocre story, laughable dialogue), but at least Expendables 2 was a fun movie. XXX 3 just looks bad.
