Moana Theatrical Trailer

Set sail for ocean adventure as Walt Disney Animated Studios releases the theatrical trailer for their newest movie Moana. View trailer below.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes Moana, a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
Wow….I am impressed. This trailer definitely shows off more footage from this upcoming animated movie. More of the plot was revealed, more time with Moana, and more hilarious moments with Maui. The animation also looks gorgeous and the Polynesian sounding music is a nice touch. Its definitely going to be a very familiar Disney movie, but (at the same time) have a different feel especially with Moana being the first Polynesian Disney Princess. All in all, I can’t wait to see this movie.
Moana rides the current into theaters this Thanksgiving on November 23rd, 2016
I LOVED this trailer! What do you mean when you say it’s going to be a familiar Disney movie? It looks quite different in everything from the story, Moan’s design, the music than we’ve ever seen before.
What I mean is that it will have Disney’s signature of familiarity (themes, messages, colorful characters, maybe a sing a song or two, etc.).
I think it’s good that a trailer which actually showed what the movie really was about came out because I was a little confused before this one. I really liked it and I think Moana is going to be awesome. Something that bothers me though is that it’s called Viana (I think) in Swedish, I really don’t see the point in changing the name… 😀
Haha…really. They changed the name?
Yep…
I loved Princess and the Frog and the whole New Orleans setting. I’m sure I’m going to love this too. The animation looks beautiful and I love the amount of detail they put into the hair 🙂
