Based off of the popular Rovio video game app, the movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds…Or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
Yes, I personally played the Angry Birds game (have it downloaded on my IPad, but only the original one). While I do like the trailer (and surely did laugh a couple of times at various parts), I feel that movie (in general) will probably just be a quick “cash and grab”, cashing in on the popularity of the video game. Hopefully, the movie will be good, but it could go either way.
