The film is set in a suburban fantasy world where humans do not exist, instead populated with elves, trolls, and sprites, where unicorns are as common as rodents. Two teenage elf brothers, Barley and Ian, embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic in the world in order to spend one day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.
Oh, wow….this looks to be interesting. While Pixar has produced some original content feature films in the 2010s era (i.e Brave and Coco), most of their endeavors have been on sequels, expanding on their established franchise tags, which is slightly disappointing. Onward seems to go “against the grain” of Pixar’s releases by being more of a new / original, which definitely peaks my interest in seeing it. Like most Pixar teaser trailers, not much story / plot details are offered, but showcases the film’s setting and the feature’s two main characters, who are voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland (both of whom I liked). To me, I’m definitely looking forward to Onward. How about you?
