While no official synopsis as been released, much of the main characters from the first film return to reprise their roles in Out of the Shadows. In addition, there are quite a few fan favorites from the TMNT history in this sequel, including Casey Jones, Baxter Stockman, Bebop and Rocksteady.
I have to admit that I was somewhat unimpressed with last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It had plenty of nostalgia from my childhood, but (personally speaking) wasn’t that great. The trailer for the sequel looks pretty much of the same from the last movie. I am fan of the CW’s Arrow, so I am interested to see Stephen Amell as Casey Jones. Who knows….maybe I will be impressed by this second installment. Only time will tell.
