The Martian Trailer
20th Century Fox has just released the first trailer for The Martian, director Ridley Scott’s newest sci-fi epic. View trailer below.
During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible rescue mission. As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney’s safe return.
I have to say that this movie, judging by trailer, looks very interesting. I’ve never read the book The Martian by Andy Weir, of which this movie is based off of, so I might read it before the film comes out (I have plenty of time from until then to do so). Back to the preview, The Martian features a star-studded cast, which is great, and I can’t wait to see what becomes of the character of Mark Watney when I eventually see the movie. This movie is going up against Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, so I curious to see which movie will be come out as box office champ that holiday weekend.

“It’s space. It doesn’t cooperate with you. I guarantee you, at some point, everything is going to go south on you.”
The Martian lands in theaters this Thanksgiving on November 25, 2015.
