The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Trailer

The final battle is upon us as Warner Bros. Pictures have just released the theatrical trailer for Peter Jackson’s high anticipated fantasy adventure The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. View trailer below.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies brings an epic conclusion to the adventures of Bilbo Baggins and Thorin’s Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland, the gang have unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, this monstrous beast rains fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth dark legions in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide: Unite or be destroyed! Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

Indeed, the defining moment has come. It looks insanely awesome with a lot going on. There’s a massive battle, the White Council facing off against Sauron, Throin facing off against Azog, Thranduil and Bard working together, laketown burning, and a bunch of other stuff that I can’t wait to see when the film comes out. Being both the very last film of The Hobbit trilogy and the last of Peter Jackson’s Middle-Earth film saga, it’s a bitter sweet feeling for me. Yet, I’m glad to see it completed and anxiously awaiting how it all will end.

“You have but one question to answer them…..how shall this day end!!!”

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies comes to theaters on December 17th
