A young boy experiences an unforgettable seaside summer on the Italian Riviera filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the ocean’s surface.
Ah, a new trailer for this movie. Definitely looks good. This new trailer showcases plenty of new footage as well as presenting a little bit of the narrative plot for the feature. The animation looks great and I love how the movie is set within the Italian Rivera. Plus, the characters in the movie seem very dynamic and colorful. I still have to wonder why Disney is deciding to release this exclusively on Disney+ and not release it in theaters and on Disney+ like the company is doing with its other projects. Regardless, I am definitely looking forward to seeing this movie.
Luca is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on June 18th, 2021 and international in-theaters (TBA)
