A young boy experiences an unforgettable seaside summer on the Italian Riviera filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the ocean’s surface.
I was waiting for the first trailer for this project to be release. As many followers know, I’m a big fan of animated movies, especially the ones that get released from Pixar. With the company having a mostly solid track record of memorable hits (barring a few exceptions), I’m quite interested in seeing Luca. Like Coco and Soul, this movie looks to explore an ethnic background of human culture; focusing this time on the Italian heritage. I think that is a step in the right direction. From the trailer alone, the animation looks gorgeous and it looks like Pixar is gonna have another “slam dunk” winning (I’m predicting). All in all, I am looking forward to see Luca and how this Italian mythical adventure will play out and be received by moviegoers everywhere.
