The Witches Official Trailer

Something wicked this way comes as Warner Bros. Pictures and HBO Max release the official trailer for the upcoming remake feature of The Witches. View trailer below.

Reimagining Dahl’s beloved story for a modern audience, Zemeckis’s visually innovative film tells the darkly humorous and heartwarming tale of a young orphaned boy (Bruno) who, in late 1967, goes to live with his loving Grandma (Spencer) in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. As the boy and his grandmother encounter some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, she wisely whisks our young hero away to an opulent seaside resort. Regrettably, they arrive at precisely the same time that the world’s Grand High Witch (Hathaway) has gathered her fellow cronies from around the globe—undercover—to carry out her nefarious plan.

Oh wow….interesting. I really didn’t hear much about this movie on the various movie websites that i frequently visit. I mean…I knew of the Roald Dahl’s book as well as the original 1990 film of which the novel was based off of, but I really didn’t hear much about this recent remake. Of course, I am quite interested in seeing this movie as it does look pretty good. It will also be interesting to see how this movie will be received by viewers, especially fans of both Dahl’s book and of the original movie. All in all, I am looking forward to seeing this feature.

The Witches  is set to premiere on HBO Max on October 22nd, 2020
