The Batman Official Teaser Trailer

Robert Pattinson is “The Batman” as Warner Bros. Pictures releases the official teaser trailer for the upcoming reimagining of the “Bat of Gotham” in the movie The Batman. View trailer below.

From Warner Bros. Pictures comes “The Batman,” with director Matt Reeves (the “Planet of the Apes” films) at the helm and with Robert Pattinson (“Tenet,” “The Lighthouse,” “Good Time”) starring as Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne. Also in the star-studded ensemble as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are Zoë Kravitz (“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” “Mad Max: Fury Road”) as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano (“Love & Mercy,” “12 Years a Slave”) as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright (the “Hunger Games” films) as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro (the “Transformers” films) as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard (“The Magnificent Seven,” “Black Mass”) as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan (“Dunkirk”) as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson (“Farewell Amor”) as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis (the “Planet of the Apes” films, “Black Panther”) as Alfred; and Colin Farrell (“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” “Dumbo”) as Oswald Cobblepot.

Hmmmm….interesting. I wasn’t really expecting a trailer for this for quite sometime. Like….maybe in November or December for a big blockbuster release. Nevertheless, it is here and it definitely looks quite intriguing. Of course, I was expecting the movie to be gritty and dark (as the trailer implies), so this “first look” at the movie certainly takes the cake in showcasing that appeal and tone for the upcoming film. However, I do have that nagging feeling of yet another Batman movie that is played by another actor and showcasing probably the same dramatic moments of how Bruce Wayne began (i.e. the death of Thomas / Martha Wayne). Still, I am looking forward to seeing how this movie will ultimately shape up to be and how it will be received. Plus, I am curious to see how Robert Pattinson does in the role. Only time will tell….

The Batman  flies into theaters on October 1st, 2021

  • I have to admit I quite like the look and feel of this movie. The trailer looks to suitably dark, and it’s probably going to be a movie that will have quite the dark edge to it. Like you I wasn’t expecting this trailer for some time either, but it was a pleasant surprise, and certainly one that I enjoyed. Hopefully the movie will be good😊
