Get ready to experience life in a whole new “afterlife” way as Disney Studios / Pixar Animation releases the official trailer for their upcoming film Soul. View trailer below.

Joe Gardner, a middle school music teacher, has long dreamed of performing jazz music onstage, and finally gets a chance after impressing other jazz musicians during an opening act at the Half Note Club. However, an untimely accident causes Gardner’s soul to be separated from his body and transported to The Great Before, a world where souls develop personalities, quirks, and traits before being sent off to Earth. There, Gardner must work with souls in training at The Great Before, such as 22, a soul with a dim view on life, in order to return to Earth before it is too late.

Oh wow….wasn’t expecting a new trailer for this movie. To be honest, I do keep on forgetting about it, which is probably why I didn’t post the first trailer for this film awhile back. This new trailer definitely showcases plenty of new footage for Soul as well as explaining a little bit more of the movie’s central plot. It’s an interesting concept idea. Its a bit abstract….almost kind of reminds me of Pixar’s Inside Out (in a good way). I’m sure there is going to be a lot of metamorphically means about “living life” as well as some of Pixar’s signature style of heart and humor. All in all, I”m looking forward to seeing Soul.
