Artemis Fowl II (Ferdia Shaw), a young Irish criminal mastermind, kidnaps the fairy LEPrecon officer Captain Holly Short (Lara McDonnell) for ransom to fund the search for his missing father in order to restore the family fortune.
Well…it’s been sometime since heard anything about this movie. While the original release date was gonna be back in August of 2019, the film was delayed until May 2020. So, I was wondering if / when there was gonna be a new trailer for the feature (with the previous trailer was more like a “teaser” for the project). This new official trailer for Artemis Fowl definitely shows off plenty of new footage and gives us more of a narrative to the upcoming film. I know of the books of which the movie is based off of, but haven’t read them. Might have to pick up at least the first novel. All in all, Artemis Fowl looks promising and has definitely caught my interest.

Wait, there are fairies in Artemis Fowl? I read reviews of the books a while back, but I don’t remember seeing this detail. It seems like reviews of the books spent too much time comparing them to Harry Potter and not enough focusing on the world these stories take place in.
