In PLAYMOBIL’s® animated action adventure, a top secret organization has caused citizens from different lands to vanish from thin air. The dashing and charismatic secret agent Rex Dasher (Daniel Radcliffe) must partner with smooth-talking food truck driver Del (Jim Gaffigan) and Marla (Anya Taylor-Joy) a smart, savvy civilian with her own secret agenda, to rescue them. Against unthinkable odds, the trio go on a fantastic journey across stunning new worlds as they gather clues for their rescue mission.
Hmmmm….I’m not so much about this movie. Of course, I do remember playing with Playmobli sets when I was younger (before upgrading to LEGOs), so Playmobil does have a fond memory of my younger childhood years. This Playmobil movie, however, looks to be another quick “cash and grab” from Hollywood. Plus, I’m getting a very serious LEGO Movie vibe when I watch this trailer for the film. Maybe (due to the success of the film franchise), Playmobil was given the idea / go ahead to be made as a kid’s feature film. I’m sure it will hit its target demographic, but my expectations for this movie are very low. Wouldn’t you agree….
