Power in darkness as the “Phoenix” rises as 20th Century Fox releases the second official trailer for their upcoming film. X-Men: Dark Phoenix (or simply Dark Phoenix). View trailer below.

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Hmmm….very interesting. I’ll be the first to say it….that I liked this new trailer much better than the previous one. I’m intrigued to see where the movie will go and how it will ultimately ended, especially since this motion picture is the last to be released under the 20th Century Fox (presumably). My only problem with this trailer is that it kind of sort of implies that the outcome fate of one particular character. I know that sometimes movie trailers can be “misleading”, but (if one pieces it altogether), the fate of this character seems likely doomed (and you know who I’m talking about). Still, regardless of that, this movie’s trailer is ten times better than the last one and definitely has peaked more of my interest to see this film.
