Hobbs & Shaw Official Trailer
Get ready for the most unlikeliest alliance team up as Universal Pictures releases the official trailer for the Fast & The Furious spin off film Hobbs & Shaw. View trailer below.
Two years after the events of The Fate of the Furious, federal agent Luke Hobbs reveals he must join forces with his old ally Deckard Shaw in order to stop a new threat emerging from the international terrorist known as Brixton.
I know its called Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, but (for the title of my blog posts) I’m just calling it Hobbs & Shaw. I do have to say that after viewing the trailer, I’m excited. Yes, I’m one of those people who like the Fast & Furious movies (especially the latter ones) as they’ve become great mindless action popcorn features (and the good type). The last movie (i.e The Fate of the Furious) definitely showed the potential for a spin-off endeavor with the back and forth banter of characters Hobbs and Shaw. Thus, this movie comes into play. From the looks of it, it’s pretty much what I would expect from a spin-off film to the franchise with plenty action, car chases, fist fights, and cheesy dialogue one-liners. All in all, I’m excited to see this movie.
Hobbs & Shaw races into theaters on August 2nd, 2019
Still need Justice4Han.
Haha…you never know….that might happen
A Buddy cop super hero movie. Well if they are going to do a spin off movie a new genre is certainly needed.
Haha…and what better way to showcase that new idea but within the Fast & Furious franchise.
Well considering the franchise has such a healthy disrespect for the laws of physics.
Haha…very true. Like they said….probably the next Fast & Furious movie will take Dom’s team into space…lol
I agree, the series is great popcorn fare, and this trailer is fun!
Definitely. Can’t wait to see the movie and how it all shapes up to be.
Like you, I enjoy the Fast & Furious franchise. But ever since this project was first announced, I have never found the necessity of it. When this trailer was finally released, I watched it with an open mind. However, I ended up not being impressed with this trailer. While watching it, I only laughed once, during the scene where Shaw is on the elevator. If you hadn’t said in your post that this movie takes place after The Fate of the Furious, I honestly would have thought it takes place before that film, based on the introduction of both characters that happens toward the beginning of this trailer. In the end, this trailer did not entice me to see this film.
