Dumbo Official Teaser Trailer

The beloved tale gets ready for new heights as Disney (and director Tim Burton) release the official teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action film for Dumbo. View trailer below.

Holt was once a circus star, but he went off to war and when he returned it had terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, silver-tongued entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), and aerial artist Colette Marchant (Eva Green) swoop in to make the little elephant a star.

Interesting, I totally forgot about this movie. I mean, I remember Disney doing a live-action feature of this, but kept on forgetting about as I always hear more about other upcoming remakes like The Lion King, Mulan, and Aladdin. From the trailer, this movie looks well-made and Burton’s imagination will indeed aid this theatrical endeavor. However, while Disney’s animated Dumbo is indeed a classic, it wasn’t one of my favorite ones. That’s mostly due to some of the sad moments of the feature like when Dumbo’s mother is chained up (I cry every time I see that scene). Still, I love Disney’s recent live-action remakes of their animated classics (most Cinderella and Beauty and Beast). All in all, I sincerely hope this movie is good and looking forward to it….

  • I wasn’t expecting much from the image that leaked last moth, but this looks quite good.

    • It does indeed. I just hope the movie is good. Disney’s live action remakes have been on the up and up, so I hope this movie doesn’t drop the ball.

  • I agree with both Film4Fan and you, Jason, this trailer looks promising! This movie looks, to me, like Saving Mr. Banks meets Water for Elephants.

    • I agree with you. Certainly does feel like Saving Mr. Banks and Water for Elephants. Only time will tell if this movie will be successful or not. Let’s hope for the former than the latter.
