Mortal Engines Theatrical Trailer

London is calling and is ready to battle as Universal Pictures releases the official theatrical trailer for their upcoming sci-fi film Mortal Engines. View trailer below.

Thousands of years after civilization was destroyed by a cataclysmic event, humankind has adapted and a new way of living has evolved. Gigantic moving cities now roam the Earth, ruthlessly preying upon smaller traction towns. Tom Natsworthy (Robert Sheehan)—who hails from a Lower Tier of the great traction city of London—finds himself fighting for his own survival after he encounters the dangerous fugitive Hester Shaw (Hera Hilmar). Two opposites, whose paths should never have crossed, forge an unlikely alliance that is destined to change the course of the future.

Hmmm….interesting. Much like what I said before for the teaser trailer of this movie, Mortal Engines seems to be quite an interesting tale. It sort of reminds of a Mad Max movie as well as some steampunk nuances as well. The new trailer definitely shows off plenty of new footage, showcasing a lot of the film’s characters and displays the grand scope of the feature. That being said, this movie sort of does have the makings of being a bit too ambitious and could potential being a bomb during the holiday season. I personally don’t hope for that, but you never know. Still, Mortal Engines looks interesting and I look for to seeing it and reviewing it when it comes out…..

  • This one could definitely go either way. The trailer does look very cool, but I agree with what you said, it might be that it’s trying to pull off too much. But with Peter Jackson involved I am kind of optimistic for it. Fingers crossed this will be fun 🙂
