Bumblebee Official Teaser Trailer

Every adventure has a beginning as Paramount Pictures releases the official teaser trailer for the upcoming Transformers spin-off film titled Bumblebee. View trailer below.

Twenty years before the events of the first film, in 1987, Bumblebee takes refuge in a small California beach town junkyard. A teenage girl named Charlie Watson learns that it is no ordinary Volkswagen Beetle.

Hmmmm….interesting. Like many out there (from my generation), I grew up watching the original Transformers cartoons and action figures (and watched a few iterations of the shows that followed. This love of Transformers sparked my interest in seeing the first live-action Transformers movie come to the big screen and I loved every second of it. However, the subsequent sequels that followed started to wane on my excitement and the last one (Transformers: The Last Knight) ended in such an “meh” to my liking that I really didn’t care if the cinematic live-action series continued or not. Bumblebee, the first spin-off film of the Transformers film saga, looks to freshen up the franchise a bit. For one, the movie isn’t being directed by Michael Bay (the director behind the five Transformers movies), so it won’t have Bay’s signature excessive fatigue of action and explosions. Plus, it seems to be more focused on Bumblebee (I’m hoping) not so much on the wide array of other autobots and decepticons. Plus, I loved how the trailer use Bernie Mac’s line from the first Transformers film. In short, I’m actually quite interesting to see where this movie will go with the character of Bumblebee. Will it be a new start to recharge the franchise? Only time will tell….

Bumblebee  races into theaters on December 21st, 2018

  • The Transformers came out after my childhood but I had nephews that loved them and watched the toons over and over again when they were little (my daughters never cared for them). So I had enough familiarity with them that I’ve enjoyed the movies. Plus they are over the top action and fun, which is what I usually like.

  • I haven’t even bothered to watch The Last Knight yet
