The path to paradise begins in hell as 20th Century Fox releases the theatrical trailer for the next chapter in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi world with the film Alien: Covenant. View trailer below.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Hmmm….they’re back (the Xenomorphs I mean). Following the release of the prologue video titled “The Last Supper”, which was released last week (from the date I’m posting this), this new trailer for the sixth film in the Alien franchise looks promising, filled with sci-fi horror thrills and suspenseful moments. The cast is great (plenty of recognizable faces) and the premise seems to be in tone with several entries of the franchise (a bit of Aliens, but mostly Prometheus), so I’m be interested in seeing this movie. I do wonder how this movie will measure up to its predecessors and how it will be received by critics and fans. We’ll just have to wait and see what moviegoers (including myself) make of Alien: Covenant.

Alien: Covenant  arrives in theaters on May 19th, 2017
