Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk Official Trailer

Discover what critics are saying about the movie as Sony Pictures releases a new trailer for the movie Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. View trailer below.

Director Ang Lee brings his extraordinary vision to Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, based on the widely-acclaimed, bestselling novel. The film is told from the point of view of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (newcomer Joe Alwyn) who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, becomes a hero after a harrowing Iraq battle and is brought home temporarily for a victory tour. Through flashbacks, culminating at the spectacular halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day football game, the film reveals what really happened to the squad – contrasting the realities of the war with America’s perceptions.

Hmmm….it’s strange for the studio to release a new trailer so close to the actual movie’s release (roughly in 3 weeks). As for the trailer, it shows mostly the same footage as the last one, with a couple of new footage pieces here and there. In truth, this is more of a “critic trailer” than an actually theatrical trailer (just my opinion). Regardless, I am looking forward to seeing this movie. I actually am reading the book right now (roughly about 75% done with the book). Like I said before, the title (for the book and the movie) is definitely odd, the cast looks great, and the story is solid. It will be interesting to see how this movie gets received on its opening weekend as the movie will get a nationwide release on November 18th, 2016…the same time that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is being released as well. Its gonna be an interesting movie weekend. Who will come out on top….New Scamander or Billy Lynn?

Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk  is set to be released on November 11th, 2016 (limited screens) and then go nationwide on November 18th, 2016.
