In the aftermath of an unspeakable act of terror, Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders (Mark Wahlberg) joins courageous survivors, first responders and investigators in a race against the clock to hunt down the bombers before they strike again. Weaving together the stories of Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) and nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan) this visceral and unflinching chronicle captures the suspense of the most sophisticated manhunt in law enforcement history and the strength of the people of Boston.
I just saw this teaser trailer when I went to see Deepwater Horizon. Like I said above, this movie represent the re-teaming up with Mark Wahlberg and director Peter Berg, which have done some hard-hitting real life film adaptations (i.e. Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon). Of course, I know of the events of the “Boston Marathon Bombing”, so this movie is going to be a very interesting movie to see when it comes out.
Patriots Day opens in limited theaters on December 21st, 2016 and goes nationwide on January 13th, 2017
Obviously you survived the hurricane. How was it for you?
Haha….yes I did. I left the area where I live and stayed at a hotel more inland with my brother and his family. I came the day after the hurricane and my house had no damage. Just a couple of trees down nearby. Thanks for asking!
