We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

I remember seeing the first Independence Day movie when it came back in 1996. Scared the living crap out of me, but (as I grew older) I began to appreciate the movie as a good science fiction movie. I also remember hearing all the talks of doing a sequel for many years, but nothing came to fruition….until now. There’s a lot of questions to this movie, but, to me, the biggest question is…where is Will Smith’s character. All I know he declined the reprise his role in this sequel. Will just have to wait and see how this movie shapes up to be. Hopefully, it will be good as the first one….Hopefully.
