Into the Woods offers a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel; all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.
This new trailer shows off more of the movie (Which is good). I knew that the movie was based off the Broadway play of the same name, so I kind of figured that this film adaptation would include sing. Finally get to see Johnny Depp as The Wolf. Indeed, I am intrigued to see this movie (An all-star ensemble is always interesting to see), but how will fare going up against Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper (Limited release) and Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken. Can a fairy tale mash-up triumph two wartime dramas? We’ll just have to wait and see. Just remember…be careful what you wish for.
